On the morning of April 25, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation organized the Voluntary Blood Donation Day "Drops of Love in Trade Union Members and Workers", attracting 1,300 union members, workers, and laborers to participate.
From early morning, the lobby area on the 1st floor and the large hall of the Legal Consulting and Labor Support Center of Hai Phong City branch 2 were crowded with people. Long lines of workers and union members lined up orderly to complete blood donation registration procedures.
The atmosphere was both urgent and warm with the spirit of sharing. Many people took advantage of coming early to complete health check-ups, tests and wait for their turn to donate blood.

Notably, there are quite a few union members who donated blood about 8 months ago, just met their health conditions and continued to return to participate. They patiently lined up, waiting for their turn in turn with the desire to contribute their small part to help patients.
Mr. Le Quang Dao - Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of HTC Company, Trade Union of Chu Van An Ward - said: "The voluntary blood donation movement among union members and workers is increasingly spreading strongly. Many brothers and sisters consider this a regular work, with profound humanistic meaning. Despite being busy, when there is a program, everyone arranges time to participate.

Ms. Le Thi Tuoi (Oriental Sports Vietnam Technology Co., Ltd., Nam Sach Industrial Park) shared: "I have participated in blood donation many times. Each blood donation is a time to feel that I have done something useful. This year, despite being busy with work, I still try to register early to participate with everyone.

Blood donation activities are within the framework of the 2026 Culture and Sports Festival organized by the Hai Phong City Labor Federation on April 25.
In addition to blood donation, the program also has many practical care activities for union members and workers such as medical examinations, abdominal ultrasounds, thyroid ultrasounds, cancer screening tests, eye exams and free tonics for about 500 people, taking place from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM in the 1st floor lobby.

On the same day, sports and cultural activities also took place sôi nổi such as half-time synchronized gymnastics competitions at outdoor stages; opening and qualifying rounds in the Western region of the men's and women's football tournament for union members and workers; opening of the pickleball tournament; and free oil change activities to serve union members.
The festival not only contributes to supplementing blood sources for medical facilities but also clearly demonstrates the spirit of responsibility and mutual affection of union members and workers in the port city, and at the same time creates a cohesive playground to improve the material and spiritual life of workers.
