Accordingly, Market Management Team No. 5 (in charge of Xom Chieu, Khanh Hoi, Vinh Hoi, Cho Quan, An Dong, Cho Lon wards) - areas with many gold trading stores - inspected and handled 3 businesses violating the act of trading goods of unknown origin. The total value of violating goods is 135.6 million VND, and the fine amount is up to 210 million VND.
Similarly, Market Management Team No. 9 (old Thu Duc city area) inspected, discovered and handled 9 organizations violating regulations related to trading in jewelry gold of unknown origin, items belonging to the list of industries and professions for conditional investment and business. The total amount of administrative violation fines is 506 million VND; at the same time, confiscated 39 jewelry products of all kinds, unused, without labels, with a total value of more than 331.3 million VND.
In addition, after expanding the administrative boundaries including the Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau areas before, the Market Management force in these areas also strengthened inspection and control of the gold market. Typically, Market Management Teams No. 19 and No. 22 inspected 12 gold business establishments, initially detecting and confiscating goods without labels, of unknown origin with a total value of more than 300 million VND; the amount of money collected and paid to the state budget reached about 700 million VND.
The Ho Chi Minh City Market Management Department will continue to direct teams to strengthen local management, promote inspection and supervision of gold and jewelry business activities; promptly detect and strictly handle violations, thereby contributing to market stability and protecting consumer rights.
