The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has just informed about the results of organizing activities for Workers' Month in 2025.
One of the outstanding results of Workers' Month 2025 is the organization of the "Thank You Workers" program and activities to care for the lives of union members and workers.
According to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the "Thank you to workers" program during Workers' Month 2025 continues to affirm itself as an activity with a deep mark, demonstrating the sense of responsibility, gratitude and practical support of the trade union organization, enterprises and the whole society for workers. The program has gradually become a two-way interaction tool, connecting employers with employees through specific actions, contributing to improving material and spiritual life, enhancing solidarity in labor relations and arousing the spirit of dedication and creativity at the workplace.
From the industry and local level to each grassroots union, the program has been organized systematically, creating a strong spillover effect with 4,828 units and enterprises with union organizations organizing 15,852 "Thank you to workers" activities. The content of activities is diverse and rich, from visits, gifts, commendations, organizing cultural and sports programs, to dialogues and welfare commitments, thereby demonstrating the depth of humanity and practicality in each action.
Caring continues to be a highlight in Workers' Month 2025, with widespread scale and coverage. More than 1.4 million union members and workers were supported and cared for, with a total cost of more than 265 billion VND.
There are 1,010 "Union Shelters" that have been newly built, repaired and handed over, with a total support amount of more than 24 billion VND.
1,256 million union members and workers enjoyed benefits from the "Union member welfare" program such as: sightseeing, health check-ups, support for children's education costs, support for raising young children... with a total welfare value of more than 303 billion VND.
In parallel with material care activities, trade unions at all levels have promoted the organization of cultural and sports activities, practically taking care of the spiritual life of union members and workers.
According to data compiled from the units, in the Workers' Month 2025, 16,418 grassroots trade unions organized 20,488 cultural and sports activities such as football, volleyball, tug of war, sack jumping, workers' singing, cross country running, folk dance competition... attracting over 10.1 million union members and workers to participate.
Many localities have successfully organized Workers' Festivals, Cultural - Sports Festivals, combined with health check-up activities, 0 VND booths, legal propaganda and innovation emulation launches. These activities not only help improve spiritual life, strengthen community connections in enterprises, but are also an opportunity to honor workers' cultural values and spread the spirit of solidarity and attachment among the workforce.
Many localities, sectors and units organized ceremony to honor outstanding workers in 2025. The individuals honored are mostly direct production workers, with many initiatives and technical improvements to help increase productivity, save costs, improve working conditions and the working environment.
According to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the results of implementing the "Thank you to workers" program and caring for material and spiritual life show that the trade union organization is increasingly innovating its thinking, practical actions and taking workers as the center of all policies. Instead of taking care of individuals and in the short term, activities are gradually moving towards the goal of building long-term, sustainable welfare, contributing to shaping an organizational culture, a progressive and modern corporate culture. This is an important pillar in the strategy of building a modern and strong working class.
At the same time, through these programs, the trade union affirms its role as a companion, creating a humane, fair working environment and sustainable development in the new context.
