On July 18, the interdisciplinary working group to resolve collective labor disputes of Bien Hoa City and Dong Nai province worked with the Board of Directors of Yupoong Vietnam Co., Ltd. regarding the petition of the company's workers.
Accordingly, on July 18, 400/1,793 workers participated in a collective work stoppage , requesting the company to adjust the regional minimum wage to 280,000 VND/person.
A representative of the company's Board of Directors said that due to the difficult economic situation, the company plans to adjust the regional minimum wage for employees to increase by 140,000 VND/person. The company will notify employees clearly.
According to the announcement on the adjustment of the regional minimum wage in 2024, the Board of Directors of Yupoong Vietnam Co., Ltd. decided to adjust the probationary salary to: 5,208,000 VND, post-trial salary to 5,572,560 VND. Salaries lower than VND 5,572,560 will be adjusted to VND 5,572,560.
Salaries higher than 5,572,560 VND will have an additional 140,000 VND added to the basic salary...
In addition, the company also added that, based on the collective labor agreement signed on August 15, 2023 between the company and the employee collective, which states that when the state adjusts the regional minimum wage, the company will will only adjust for levels below the zone minimum.
But the company's Board of Directors still considers the order situation, the factory's financial capacity and decides on the salary increase in 2024.

Through the opinions, the Working Group, based on Decree 74/2024/ND-CP dated June 30, 2024 on stipulating the minimum wage for employees working under labor contracts - recommends that the two sides consider , negotiate to adjust the regional minimum wage reasonably and in accordance with the law.
