Visiting and giving gifts to over 12,000 union members and workers
Chairman of the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor, Lam Thanh Si, has just signed a plan to organize activities to care for union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025.
According to the plan, the Trade Union at all levels will spend money to visit and give gifts to over 12,000 union members and employees who are in difficult circumstances, have serious illnesses, have work-related accidents, urban environmental workers, medical staff working on New Year's Eve, children of union members with serious illnesses... with a total amount of over 12 billion VND. At the same time, they will seek support from the Party Committee, government, employers, and benefactors to take care of and give gifts to all union members and employees with the motto "All union members and employees have Tet".
Regarding the form of organization, the Provincial Federation of Labor advised the Provincial Party Committee to organize working delegations to invite members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee to visit, present gifts, and wish the Party and Laborers a Happy New Year. Coordinate with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to organize visits, present gifts, encourage, and wish the Party and Laborers a Happy New Year with the participation of leaders of the Party, State, National Assembly, Vietnam Fatherland Front, and Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
The direct superior trade union at the grassroots level organizes visits, presents gifts, and wishes a happy New Year to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, those who have suffered work-related accidents or occupational diseases; union members and workers in enterprises that are experiencing a reduction in orders, labor contracts, working hours, and income; organizes activities to visit and present gifts to encourage urban environmental sanitation workers and medical staff working on New Year's Eve; organizes activities to visit, present gifts, and celebrate the New Year to union members and workers living in self-managed groups of workers' dormitories in the area.
Organize the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Dang" associated with the program "Union Year-end Meal" for 300 members and some welfare activities for members and employees such as cultural, artistic, sports activities, preferential sales, free medical examination and treatment, voluntary blood donation... for members and employees of enterprise-level trade unions under the Provincial Labor Federation, Industry Trade Union, Provincial Civil Servants' Trade Union.
The Provincial Federation of Labor also launched the online program "2025 Trade Union Tet Market" (organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor) for 2,500 union members and workers in localities with many enterprises such as: Long Xuyen City Federation of Labor, provincial industrial park unions, and grassroots unions under the Provincial Federation of Labor.
At the same time, promote the implementation of welfare and incentive programs so that union members and employees know and benefit. Coordinate with enterprises that have signed welfare programs to organize booths to sell preferential and discounted products for some essential consumer goods, serving the Lunar New Year 2025 in conjunction with cultural, artistic, sports activities, health check-ups, free medicine, legal advice, etc.
Actively seek and coordinate with businesses selling Tet goods, selling at preferential prices to help employees in remote areas and self-managed boarding house groups enjoy preferential policies.
Enhance dialogue
The An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor directs all levels of the Trade Union to proactively participate with the authorities to grasp the situation, inspect and supervise employers in paying salaries and bonuses to union members and employees during Tet; promptly detect and have solutions to ensure the rights of union members and employees in enterprises facing difficulties, unpaid wages, unable to pay bonuses, business owners fleeing or dissolving or going bankrupt.
Strengthen dialogue and negotiation activities with employers on production plans, salary payment, Tet bonus payment; take care of the material and spiritual life of union members and employees during Tet.
Implement measures to detect and prevent labor disputes and collective work stoppages arising during Tet and participate in timely and effective handling, contributing to ensuring security and order in localities and enterprises.
