On the morning of October 27, at the Provincial Labor Culture House, the 2nd An Giang Provincial Women's Volleyball Tournament for Workers and Civil Servants (CNVCLD) in 2024 opened. Mr. Nguyen Nhat Tien - Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial Labor Federation - and representatives of the leaders of the Labor Federations of Long Xuyen City, Thoai Son District, Health Sector Trade Union... attended and cheered.
This tournament has 14 teams with nearly 200 athletes who are female union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers who are participating in trade union activities and working at agencies, units, and enterprises in the province. This is considered a practical activity to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union, the 14th anniversary of Vietnamese Women's Day of the Trade Union organization in Uncle Ton's hometown.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Le Linh Chau - Head of Propaganda - Women's Union of the Provincial Labor Federation, Director of An Giang Labor Culture House - affirmed that the Trade Union organization always puts the work of caring for, representing, protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and employees, including women, at the top position. This is also an activity contributing to the successful implementation of Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW, dated June 12, 2021 of the Politburo on "Innovation of organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation" and Directive 52 of the Secretariat on "Strengthening the leadership of the Party in improving the cultural and spiritual life of employees".
To materialize that motto, An Giang Labor Culture House pays special attention to cultural and sports activities to promote spiritual life services for female union members and workers.
