Focus on Tet care
Providing information on the key orientation for 2026, Ms. Phan Thi Thuy Linh - Chairwoman of Da Nang City Labor Federation said that city trade union levels will focus on implementing three breakthrough tasks.
First, Da Nang Trade Union continues to perform well the function of representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers. The focus is on promoting collective dialogue and negotiation on salaries, bonuses, working hours, occupational safety and health, and the quality of shift meals.
At the same time, effectively organize activities to care for the lives, jobs, and incomes of workers in the spirit of the direction of General Secretary To Lam.
In the immediate future, trade union levels will focus on organizing activities to care for the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year with the theme "Tet Sum vay - Spring of Party Gratitude".
Many practical programs will be implemented such as "Trade Union Tet Market" in industrial parks, supporting shopping vouchers for workers; giving gifts to union members in difficult circumstances; organizing trains and union cars to take thousands of workers home for Tet; organizing "Trade Union New Year's Eve Meal" and "Tet Not Far From Home" activities for workers who do not have the conditions to return home.
Our point of view is that all union members and workers must be cared for and taken care of to celebrate Tet warmly and safely," Ms. Linh affirmed.
The second is to promote the development of union members and the establishment of grassroots trade unions, especially in the non-state enterprise sector and informal labor.
According to the Chairman of the Da Nang City Labor Federation, the figures on businesses without trade union organizations and the current number of informal workers pose a requirement to strongly innovate methods of mobilization, strengthen the role of commune and ward-level trade unions, and at the same time seize the leadership of local Party committees and authorities.
Third, promote comprehensive digital transformation in the trade union system. Trade union levels will strongly apply digital technology in propaganda, union member management, financial management and provision of welfare services; and at the same time deploy the "Da Nang Trade Union App" to quickly and conveniently connect trade union organizations with union members and workers.
Bringing the emulation movement into substance
According to Ms. Phan Thi Thuy Linh, 2026 is particularly important as it is the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 1st Da Nang City Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030.
At the same time, many major political events of the country took place such as the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the 14th National Congress of the Party and the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term, People's Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term.
This is the time for trade union levels to clearly demonstrate the role of representing, caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; and at the same time innovate working methods to meet the requirements in the new situation," Ms. Linh emphasized.
In particular, the Chairman of the Da Nang City Labor Federation affirmed the determination of trade union levels in promoting patriotic emulation movements, focusing on the "Good Labor, Creative Labor" movement, promoting initiatives, technical improvements, and production rationalization.
Along with that, the city's trade union will continue to coordinate to launch a business emulation movement to take good care of workers' lives, and propose to the City People's Committee to honor and reward typical businesses in 2026.
We hope to continue to receive the attention and companionship of city leaders and the business community so that the trade union organization can perform its role and tasks well, contributing to building Da Nang city to develop sustainably and have an increasingly high quality of life," Ms. Phan Thi Thuy Linh said.
It's a bit of a bit of a bit of a bit of a bit of a bit.
