Overall last week, WTI oil increased by 0.22 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.4% compared to the previous week. Brent oil was at 60.47 USD/barrel last weekend, slightly up to 60.64 USD/barrel this weekend. Overall last week, Brent oil increased by 0.1 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.16% compared to the previous week.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the world gasoline and oil market in the past week's operation (from December 18, 2025 - December 24, 2025) was affected by key factors such as: Prospects for a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine; tensions in relations between the United States and Venezuela, the United States blocking Venezuelan oil tankers; military conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues, the two sides continue to attack each other's energy infrastructure... The above factors have caused world gasoline and oil prices in recent days to increase and decrease depending on each item.

Regarding the domestic market, a representative of a gasoline and oil business said that it will fluctuate according to the world gasoline and oil situation. According to current market developments, it is predicted that in the next price adjustment period, retail gasoline and oil prices may reverse upwards after 3 consecutive price adjustment sessions.
In the adjustment session last week (December 25), gasoline prices simultaneously decreased. In which, E5 RON 92 gasoline priced at 18,716 VND/liter (down 523 VND/liter). RON 95-III gasoline priced at 19,006 VND/liter (down 614 VND/liter).
The prices of oil products also decreased simultaneously. Diesel 0.05S priced at 17,257 VND/liter (down 219 VND/liter); kerosene had a new price of 17,709 VND/liter (down 228 VND/liter); mazut oil 180CST 3.5S priced at 13,382 VND/kg (up 222 VND/kg).
