That woman's name is Doan Thi Minh Hien (Phuoc Thang commune, Tuy Phuoc district, Binh Dinh), a public sanitation worker at FLC Quy Nhon since June 2016. Having a serious illness, there was a period of time when she took unpaid leave, until March 2024, she left completely.

Ms. Hien is in an extremely difficult situation. Suffering from a blood infection, the prolonged treatment and follow-up examinations pushed her family to the point of exhaustion. Ms. Vo Thi Bich Thuy joined FLC Quy Nhon in August 2016. In March 2024, to take care of her elderly and sick parents, she quit her job. Adding the time spent in another unit, she has 9 years and 9 months participating in social insurance.

The total salary owed by FLC Quy Nhon to the 37 workers who filed complaints (Ms. Vo Thi Bich Thuy alone filed an independent petition) is 366 million VND. All are late in paying social insurance, many are 2 years 4 months - 2 years 5 months late. What makes workers frustrated is that every month their salary is deducted for this amount.

On August 2, Electronic Labor "opened" the debt collection case of FLC Quy Nhon workers. Previously, the Trade Union of Binh Dinh Economic Zone informed businesses of the work plan on July 29. Using the reason that the time could not be arranged, FLC Quy Nhon proposed to reschedule to August 9.

Developments were immediately accelerated. On August 9 - 10, a series of employees who quit their jobs at FLC Quy Nhon received good news: They were paid their May 2024 salary and paid for the entire period of late payment of social insurance .
