On August 7, the Provincial Trade Union of Binh Thuan organized the Conference to commend and reward outstanding and exemplary grassroots trade union officials and Award the online contest "Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, Resolution of the 11th Congress of the Binh Thuan Trade Union and the 95-year history of the Vietnam Trade Union".
In his speech at the Conference, Mr. Đỗ Hữu Quy - Chairman of the Provincial Trade Union of Binh Thuan emphasized that in the coming period, each trade union official, female labor union official needs to continue to improve their operational capacity, be active and sensitive, improve their professional skills, negotiation skills, be ready to dialogue, inspire, and always be a reliable point of the union members and laborers.
Some chairmen of grassroots trade unions and female labor union officials have shared their experiences on effective solutions, creative and effective ways of doing things in trade union activities at the grassroots level.
At the Conference, 45 outstanding and exemplary chairmen of grassroots trade unions were awarded certificates of merit. These are examples of individuals who are willing to sacrifice their personal interests, fight for the interests of the collective, and protect the legitimate rights and interests of union members and laborers.
To recognize the contributions of female labor union officials at the grassroots level who have excelled in their work, the Provincial Trade Union also awarded certificates of merit to commend 35 female labor union officials who have excelled in their work in protecting the rights and interests of laborers.
In addition, at the Conference, the General Confederation of Labor of Vietnam awarded the Commemorative Medal "For the Cause of Building the Trade Union Organization" to 25 trade union officials and leaders in the province.
On this occasion, the Provincial Trade Union's Standing Committee also provided support for the construction and repair of the "Trade Union's Warm Homes" for 7 union members who are in particularly difficult living conditions.
The online contest to learn about the "Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, Resolution of the 11th Congress of the Binh Thuan Trade Union and the 95-year history of the Vietnam Trade Union" which was launched on May 27 - June 23, 2024, attracted 97,865 union members and laborers to participate. At the Conference, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to 82 individuals and collectives who won the contest.
Among them, there were 76 individual prizes (first, second, third, and encouragement prizes) and 6 collective prizes (with many participants; the most prizes won). The grassroots trade unions that had many participants who won prizes are all affiliated with the Provincial Trade Union of Phan Thiet City.
