Currently, Ha Tinh Economic Zone has more than 500 enterprises with more than 20,000 workers and laborers. This is a major force promoting the socio-economic development of the province.
Launching at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Duc Thach - Chairman of the Trade Union of Economic Zones of Ha Tinh province - requested units, enterprises, and grassroots trade unions to promote emulation movements at all levels of trade unions, among union members, workers and civil servants; effectively implement patriotic emulation movements at agencies, units, and enterprises with the spirit of "Active, creative, responsible, effective, and practical".
Continue to organize activities to care for the lives of union members and workers. Timely support union members and employees in difficult circumstances; promote the implementation of the "Union Shelter" Program; periodic health check-ups for union members and employees; improve the quality of shift meals for employees; organize activities to meet the needs and aspirations of employees.
Continue to review and promote negotiations with employers to improve the welfare of union members and workers.
Develop priority and incentive policies in the direction of bringing more practical benefits to union members and workers.
Especially issues of employment, housing, child care regimes, cultural institutions, living services, annual health care, subsidy policies, subsidies, and socialization of resources to care for union members and workers.
Propagate the activities of "Workers' Month" associated with "Workers' Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene", widely deploy the work of ensuring occupational safety and hygiene; promote improvement of working conditions and control risks related to occupational safety and hygiene at the workplace.
In his speech, Mr. Nguyen Van Danh - Chairman of the Ha Tinh Provincial Federation of Labor - highly appreciated the results of activities to care for union members and workers and the work of developing union members and establishing grassroots unions of the Trade Union of Ha Tinh Economic Zones in recent times.
Mr. Nguyen Van Danh suggested that agencies, units, enterprises, and trade unions at all levels of the province pay attention, care for, and ensure good policies and welfare for workers; comply with and effectively implement legal regulations on ensuring occupational safety and hygiene.
At the ceremony, the organizing committee awarded certificates of merit from the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province to 50 outstanding workers.
Awarding symbols to support 40 Trade Union Shelters to 40 union members in difficult circumstances across Ha Tinh province with a total amount of more than 1.4 billion VND; awarding 28 gifts to union members in difficult circumstances of the Trade Union of Ha Tinh Economic Zones with a total amount of more than 50 million VND; awarding support to build 1 Trade Union Shelter to union members in difficult circumstances of Ha Tinh Economic Zones with an amount of 40 million VND.
