Hanoi during the peak sunny season, the outdoor temperature sometimes reaches 40 degrees Celsius. In the den of breeze from morning to night, many workers in the temporary housing area in Nam Tu Liem district (Hanoi) are struggling to find ways to avoid the heat and try to sleep after each hard day's work.
Ms. Lo Thi Din - a worker in the temporary house - said: "S sleeping is like not sleeping, just staying for a while and then waking up because it was too hot".
These days, the only thing that helps her ward off the heat is a wet towel. She often dipped in water, pushed it roughly, then applied it to her head and chest. When the weather was too cold, she had to pour cold water directly on her to make it easier to breathe.
Ms. Din said that working outdoors in the hot sun every day from morning to afternoon made her body tired, but when she returned to her residence, she could not sleep fully.
"The heat is like sticking to you, opening your eyes is sweating, you can't wear a blanket at night and you can't sleep when you're still nervous," said Ms. Din.

In the same situation, Mr. Hoang Van Pien (Hanoi) said that the hot weather makes night sleep look cucistic. Despite trying to buy more electric fans and hanging curtains to block the sun, the heat is still in, making the space always shaky.
"Sometimes I took a wet towel to dry my body, sometimes I splashed water on the floor and lie there to cool. Some nights I go out in the hallway and sit until late at night, I get so tired that I can go in and lie down, said Mr. Pien.
No one told anyone, many workers have formed the habit of "reheating" every night: some splashing water, some lying in hammocks outdoors, some carrying a bottle of ice to apply to the forehead. Fatigue does not only come from work, but also from a prolonged lack of sleep, causing the body to always be in a state of lethargy and loss of energy.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Tham - a construction worker at a construction site near Cau Giay Street (Hanoi) - said: "I sweat during the day, and at night I have to use a fan to sleep with my child. The family has a mother and child, so I prioritize letting my child sleep in a cool place, while I stay up until midnight to sleep.
