According to Vietnam Social Security, parents should register a VssID account for their children using their parents' accounts for easy monitoring and to be able to use the health insurance card on the application when going to the doctor.
Step 1: Log in to the VssID application - Digital Social Insurance.
Step 2: Go to Public Services tab
Step 3: Select service Register an account for your child
Step 4: Fill in all information including social insurance number or health insurance number (last 10 digits of health insurance card number for old model).
Step 5: Upload a 4x6 portrait photo and a birth certificate photo as instructed and click “Continue”.
Step 6: The application will notify the Social Security Agency to receive and commit to the accuracy of the registration content. Here, people click "Agree" and enter the OTP sent to the registered email VssID.
If there is a notification "Vietnam Social Security has received the declaration of code xxxxx with file number xxxxx", it means the file has been received. Then people can contact the Social Security Agency where they are participating or residing to get approval and a password for use. If there are any problems, people can call the hotline number 19009068 for answers.
