Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra - Minister of Home Affairs received a new assignment as Head of the Central gratitude Fund Management Board.

Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh has just signed Decision No. 1254/QD-TTg to complete the Central gratitude Fund Management Board.

Accordingly, Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Minister of Home Affairs, is the Head of the Committee.

The Deputy Heads of the Committee include Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Permanent Deputy Head of the Committee; Mr. Hoang Cong Thuy, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Members include Mr. Pham Hong Huong, Vice President of the Vietnam Veterans Association; Ms. Tran Lan Phuong, Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union; Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

The gratitude Fund was built with voluntary contributions according to the responsibility and affection of domestic and foreign agencies, organizations, enterprises and individuals to work with the state to care for people with revolutionary contributions.

The gratitude house fund is used to renovate cemeteries, memorial sites, build stele houses with martyrs' names; support the construction and repair of houses for people with revolutionary contributions or their relatives; visit and support people with revolutionary contributions or their relatives when they are sick, examine, treat and die but their families are in difficulty; help people with revolutionary contributions or their relatives when they encounter difficulties in life...

The Management Board of the gratitude Fund at each level is responsible for directing the mobilization, construction, management and use of the gratitude Fund; inspecting the activities of the gratitude Fund under its management; ensuring collection and expenditure in accordance with regulations, and complying with current accounting and financial regimes.

Every year, prepare an estimate and settle the collection and expenditure of the gratitude Fund to the superior gratitude Fund Management Board, the People's Committee and financial agencies at the same level.

The Central Management Board of the gratitude Fund prepares an estimate and settles the collection and expenditure to the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Finance; organizes accounting and reports on the settlement of collection and expenditure of the gratitude Fund in accordance with the current accounting and financial regime; proposes to reward units and individuals with achievements; recommends handling of violations...
