The working delegation of the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation led by Mr. Than Trung Kien - Provincial Party Committee Member, Head of the Culture - Society Committee of the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Council - visited, encouraged businesses and presented gifts to support workers affected by storm No. 4 at 299 Hoang Duong Limited Liability Company.
The company specializes in producing garment outsourcing goods, currently has about 850 workers working at 5 establishments in Phuong Son ward and communes: Kien Lao, Phi Dien, Luc Ngan, Luc Son.
The average income of workers reached 10 million VND/person/month.
Typhoon No. 4 recently directly affected the production and business activities of enterprises. 4/5 of the company's facilities were affected.
In some areas, houses and traffic roads are flooded, making it difficult for workers to get to work; many families are affected by crops and gardens; vehicles such as motorbikes are also damaged.
The company must temporarily suspend production from the morning of August 22 to the end of August 25. The production interruption not only affects the business's operations but also directly affects the jobs, income and lives of workers.
As soon as the storm passed, the company coordinated with the trade union to grasp the situation of workers and laborers, focusing on overcoming the consequences, and gradually stabilizing production activities. The enterprise created conditions for laborers to return to work, maintain diligence, and ensure jobs and income.
Sharing the difficulties that businesses and workers face due to storm No. 4, Mr. Than Trung Kien acknowledged the efforts of the company and the trade union in proactively overcoming the consequences and stabilizing production; and at the same time, paying attention to and supporting workers who were damaged.
He proposed that the trade union organization continue to firmly grasp the circumstances of union members and workers, promptly advise and propose solutions to support those who are heavily affected. Taking care of and sharing in difficult times will contribute to helping workers feel secure in their work and stick with the business.
On this occasion, the working delegation presented 302 gifts to support workers and laborers affected by storm No. 4 at the company.
Each gift includes 500,000 VND in cash and a gift in kind, contributing to sharing immediate difficulties, helping workers have more conditions to overcome damage after natural disasters.
