Attending the conference were Mr. Le Cong Khanh - Head of the Trade Union Work Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Agency of Can Tho City, Vice President of the City Labor Federation; Ms. Tran Ngoc My - Vice President of the City Labor Federation, Permanent Chief of the Office of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the City; Ms. Tran Tu Nhien - Vice President of the City Labor Federation and representatives of departments under the Can Tho City Labor Federation.

At the conference, representatives of the Can Tho City Labor Federation reported on the situation of trade union activities. According to the report, the total number of grassroots unions in the area after the merger and consolidation from Can Tho, Soc Trang, Hau Giang is 898 grassroots unions with 139,426 union members and 162,806 workers. Currently, the city has established 6 new grassroots unions with a total of 669 union members.

At the conference, grassroots union officials contributed many opinions, shared difficulties and problems in the process of implementing union activities, focusing on issues such as: guidance on procedures for receiving union members, union fee collection, focal points to support grassroots unions after merger, financial guidance and organizing training on union work.

In his speech, Mr. Le Cong Khanh acknowledged the opinions exchanged by the Trade Union and suggested that the professional and technical departments continue to promote information and guidance work so that the Trade Union can better perform its tasks.
He also suggested that the grassroots trade unions focus on propaganda work for the 1st Can Tho City Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030; pay attention to introducing new union members and outstanding party members for the Party to consider admitting; at the same time, welcome the Trade Union Congresses at all levels towards the 1st Can Tho City Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030, to be completed before December 31, 2025.
It is expected that the Can Tho City Labor Federation will soon issue a Plan to take care of Binh Ngo 2026 for union members and workers.
