Short video connecting Trade Unions with union members
Innovating propaganda work is a requirement of the Trade Union organization in the context of digital transformation. From that reality, the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation organized a short video clip design contest with the theme "Trade Union in my heart", attracting grassroots trade unions to participate, spreading the image of the Trade Union organization, good models, creative ways of doing things and activities to care for union members and workers.
Prominent among them, the work "Trade Union in My Heart" of the grassroots Trade Union of Ty Xuan Co., Ltd. won the First Prize. The work "My Phong Trade Union - A Pillar of Trust and Digital Breakthrough" of the grassroots Trade Union of My Phong Leather and Footwear Co., Ltd. also made a strong impression on the Judging Panel.
Ms. Tran Thi Thuy - Vice Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union of My Phong Leather Shoe Co., Ltd. - said that previously, propaganda was mainly through documents or the loudspeaker system in the enterprise, so the effectiveness of receiving information was still limited.
According to Ms. Thuy, workers work in a chain reaction, so they have little time to read documents, and information broadcast on loudspeakers is usually only heard while working, so it is difficult to fully remember the propaganda content.
Meanwhile, video clips posted on the grassroots Trade Union fanpage or the business's Facebook page are easier to access. After work, workers have time to relax, so it is easy to watch, remember and share content with colleagues.
Mr. Le Van Tien - Chairman of the grassroots trade union of Ty Xuan Co., Ltd. - said that video clips bring high communication efficiency because of their concise content, visual images, and are suitable for workers' smartphone usage habits.
With just a few minutes of following, workers can grasp the necessary information. Videos are also easy to share on social networks, contributing to spreading Trade Union activities faster, wider and closer.
Expanding digital propaganda in Trade Unions
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation - said that the contest attracted 13 grassroots trade unions to participate with 44 quality video clips.
The works closely follow the theme "Trade Union in my heart", vividly reflecting the activities of caring for union members, good models, creative ways of doing things and typical advanced examples at the grassroots level.
Many videos are invested methodically in terms of images, sound and content, creating a spread on social networking platforms. Thereby contributing to innovating propaganda methods, promoting the image of a modern Trade Union organization, close to union members and workers.
According to the plan, the Provincial Labor Federation will continue to replicate the propaganda model with video clips at all levels of the Trade Union, encouraging each grassroots trade union to build more digital communication products associated with practical activities.
Along with that, units will strengthen the exploitation of fan pages, Facebook, Zalo and digital platforms to convey the Party's guidelines, policies and laws, Trade Union activities and typical examples to union members.
The application of video clips in propaganda not only helps inform workers faster but also contributes to improving digital communication skills for Trade Union officials. This is expected to become an effective propaganda method, meeting the requirements of digital transformation in the new period.
