On May 26, the Can Tho City Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) coordinated with the Executive Committee of the Grassroots Trade Union (CĐCS) of Lee Men Vietnam Paper Co., Ltd. to organize a ceremony to admit 65 workers to join the Vietnam Trade Union.
Ms. Chau Thi Huyen Tran - representative of 65 union members who have just been admitted to the Vietnam Trade Union - shared that in the past time, workers have been propagated and disseminated by the Executive Committee of the Grassroots Trade Union of Lee&Man Vietnam Paper Co., Ltd. about the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union and some contents of the Labor Code and the Trade Union Law.
Through this, workers better understand the position, role, tasks, and powers of the Vietnam Trade Union organization, of union members as well as regimes and policies related to workers.
“We have voluntarily applied to join the Vietnam Trade Union and are very honored to be admitted to the Trade Union organization today by the grassroots trade union of Lee & Man Paper Vietnam Co., Ltd.
As union members, we promise to constantly study, improve our qualifications in all aspects, promote the spirit of solidarity, enthusiastically work, and successfully complete the assigned tasks; contribute to the successful implementation of the enterprise's targets and plans; and strictly comply with the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union and the company's internal regulations," Ms. Chau Thi Huyen Tran expressed.
Ms. Tran Ngoc My - Vice Chairwoman of the Can Tho City Labor Federation - said that joining the Trade Union is not only an administrative procedure but also an important milestone, marking the official entry of workers into a large family - an organization representing, caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers.
According to Ms. My, the Trade Union organization will always be a solid support, a place to listen to thoughts, aspirations and accompany union members throughout the process of labor and dedication at the unit.
To make the grassroots trade union of Lee & Man Vietnam Paper Co., Ltd. increasingly develop strongly, the Vice Chairman of the Can Tho City Labor Federation proposed that new union members continue to study, improve their skills, practice industrial style and labor discipline awareness; consider the Trade Union as a common home to actively participate in contributing initiatives and building a united collective.
For the Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union, it is necessary to soon assign tasks, guide and create favorable conditions for new union members to quickly integrate and develop their abilities; continue to promote the role of a bridge between workers and the company's leadership; proactively listen, promptly share, and care for the material and spiritual life of workers; and at the same time promote emulation movements "Good labor, creative labor", contributing to the overall development of the unit.
