On November 27, the Trade Union of Can Tho Housing Development Joint Stock Company announced that the unit had just held the 1st Trade Union Conference, term 2025-2030.
In the past term, the Trade Union of Can Tho Housing Development Joint Stock Company coordinated with employers to arrange labor reasonably, promote democratic rights at the grassroots level, ensure the Organization and Operation Regulations; actively care for the lives of union members and workers on holidays and Tet, the grassroots Trade Union maintained care for policies and regimes, and supported gifts for workers.
Accordingly, the Trade Union coordinated with the Company to support 64 Tet gifts for employees (2 years 2024 and 2025) with the amount of 64 million VND; consider year-end rewards for employees, the average bonus is 1 million VND/person; give 1.6 and Mid-Autumn Festival gifts to employees' children (46 gifts) with the amount of 10.8 million VND.
Along with that, there is support for school opening gifts and scholarships for children with good academic results in the total amount of 38.7 million VND; support for the funeral of four mothers and mothers (5 cases) with the amount of 5 million VND.
Entering the new term, the Trade Union of Can Tho Housing Development Joint Stock Company aims to continue innovating the methods and content of Trade Union activities; gradually improving the quality of union staff to contribute to educating union members and workers to build an increasingly strong unit; developing care for life, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers.
The annual goal is to develop 100% of union members when signing labor contracts; ensure that 80% of workers are informed about the Party's guidelines, the State's laws and policies, and the Resolutions of the superior union; annually implement the grassroots democracy regulations according to Decree 145 of the Government, periodically organize dialogues at the workplace, organize Workers' conferences;...
Speaking at the Conference, Vice President of the Can Tho City Labor Federation Tran Tu Nhien highly agreed with the tasks and targets set by the Conference.
To successfully and effectively implement the Resolution of the Executive Committee of the Company's Trade Union for the 2025 - 2028 term, Ms. Nhien suggested that the Trade Union should continue to promote propaganda work, raise political and ideological awareness; focus on performing well its role in developing and supervising the implementation of Internal Expenditure Regulations, Grassroots Democracy Regulations, policies related to employment, wages, allowances, and welfare.
The grassroots trade union also needs to continue to propose solutions to improve working conditions, increase income and reduce pressure on workers; coordinate with the professional sector to organize activities to improve professional qualifications and skills.
