Recently, many parents in Hoa Lu ward, Ninh Binh have reported the situation of some teachers at Ninh Thanh Secondary School (Hoa Lu ward) taking students outside to school to organize extra classes at night to collect money.
It is worth mentioning that among these extra-curricular teachers, there are also vice principals of the school participating.
According to parents' feedback, these teachers organize extra classes from 7pm to 9pm, teaching 2 subjects: English and Literature.
On November 27, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Ms. Hoang Thi Thanh Hoa - Principal of Ninh Thanh Secondary School - also admitted that there is a situation where teachers organize extra classes at night at school.
Ms. Hoa said that the teachers' extra teaching was voluntarily organized, not through the school's board of directors.
When the incident was discovered on November 24, the school asked the teachers to immediately stop teaching extra classes, and at the same time, requested a review and report.
"After verification, there are 2 teachers who teach extra classes at school at night, Ms. Vu Thi Lan Anh (teaching English) and Ms. Nguyen Thi Ly - Vice Principal of the school (teaching Literature). Teachers arbitrarily sending students from outside to extra classes is a violation of regulations. The school has held a review meeting and will take strict measures to handle it" - Ms. Hoa said.
According to Ms. Hoa, both teachers are on the school's payroll and have registered to teach extra classes at outside centers.
"On the afternoon of November 26, we had a review meeting, both teachers were aware of their wrongdoings. We are working on the process, reporting to the ward leaders to come up with disciplinary measures. The disciplinary level is given as a warning to get opinions" - Ms. Hoa said.
