According to Ms. Phan Thi Thuy Linh - Chairwoman of Da Nang City Labor Federation, as of October 31, 2025, Da Nang City Labor Federation manages 1,767 grassroots trade unions and grassroots trade unions with a total of 216,707 union members. Of which, there are 258 grassroots trade unions in industrial parks with more than 87,200 union members, showing the core role of the Trade Union organization in the production sector.
The work of representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers continues to be identified as a key task. During the year, trade union levels organized consulting and legal dialogue for over 1,500 workers; supported judgment enforcement and lawsuits in more than 150 cases; participated in resolving disputes and complaints for dozens of cases and investigated 4 labor accidents.
The rate of enterprises organizing employee conferences reached 55%, the rate of dialogue at the workplace reached 80%. 86.9% of enterprises signed collective labor agreements, of which 37% of agreements were classified as B or higher. These results contribute to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in the city.
Activities to care for union members and workers continue to be deployed widely, practically and effectively. Through the programs "Tet Sum vay", "Trade Union Tet Market", "Workers' Month", "Trade Union Home", "Trade Union Meal", trade union levels have supported union members and workers with a total budget of nearly 90 billion VND.
Faced with the impact of natural disasters and storms at the end of the year, the City Labor Federation promptly visited and supported union members and workers who were damaged with a total amount of 43 billion VND, clearly showing the role of companionship and sharing of the Trade Union organization.
Affirming the role of representing, caring for, and protecting
Also according to Ms. Phan Thi Thuy Linh, propaganda and education work continues to be innovated in the direction of strongly applying digital technology. During the year, trade union levels organized 50 direct propaganda classes for over 10,000 union members and workers; coordinated to implement 12 specialized pages, 16 Labor and Trade Union columns in press agencies.
At the same time, 74 "Self-managed Workers' Groups of Dormitory Areas" with nearly 15,000 workers participating continue to be maintained and promote their effectiveness and are assessed by the Da Nang City Party Committee as a typical "Skillful Mass Mobilization" model.
The patriotic emulation movement among workers, civil servants, and laborers is developing vibrantly. Many collectives and individuals have been commended at all levels, including the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarding 4 Emulation Flags and 29 Certificates of Merit; the Standing Committee of the City Labor Federation awarded 21 Emulation Flags and more than 200 Certificates of Merit.
Union member development work achieved outstanding results with 112 newly established grassroots trade unions, admitting 50,107 union members; the actual increase of 45,506 union members, reaching 102.2% of the assigned target.
Stepping into 2026, Da Nang City Trade Union levels focus on effectively implementing the Resolution of the 1st City Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030. The focus is on continuing to affirm the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
Trade union levels pay attention to improving the quality of collective bargaining and dialogue at work; strengthen supervision of the implementation of labor laws, social insurance, occupational safety and health; promptly participate in resolving disputes, preventing collective work stoppages, contributing to building harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations.
At the same time, care and social security work continues to be promoted, focusing on union members and workers in difficult circumstances, affected by natural disasters, epidemics or job losses. The programs "Tet Sum vay", "Workers' Month", "Trade Union Home", "Trade Union Meal" continue to be maintained and improved in effectiveness.
The City Trade Union also focuses on developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions, building a team of trade union officials to meet the requirements in the new period; promoting patriotic emulation movements, arousing the spirit of responsibility and creativity of union members and workers, contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic development tasks of the city.
