The Hai Van Ward Labor Union, Da Nang City, held a conference on the evening of August 29 to announce the decision to establish the Xuan Thieu 1 Residential Area Self-management Workers' Group.
After the arrangement of administrative units, Hai Van ward manages 2 self-managed workers' groups in the boarding house. Through the process of propaganda and mobilization, the Xuan Thieu 1 Residential Area Self-management Workers' Group was formed. The Executive Board of the Xuan Thieu 1 Residential Area Self-managed Workers' Group consists of 10 people, the group has 220 workers residing and participating in activities.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Van Dai, Permanent Vice President of the City Labor Federation, praised the spirit of the Hai Van Ward Labor Union in its efforts to propagate and mobilize the grassroots.
This is the first unit to establish a self-management team after implementing the arrangement of administrative units at all levels and the arrangement of the trade union organization apparatus.
The self-managed workers' group of boarding houses is a model of skillful mass mobilization of the Trade Union organization and has been commended and proposed for expansion by the Da Nang City Party Committee.
Currently, the City Labor Federation is managing 71 groups with more than 11,200 resident workers. The City Labor Federation pays much attention and care for the activities of the groups as well as the workers residing in the groups.
Mr. Le Van Dai hopes that the Executive Board of the Xuan Thieu 1 Residential Area Self-managed Workers' Group will always be the "locomotive" connecting workers residing in the group, and an "extended arm" of the ward union to the workers.
At the same time, he hoped that the management board would actively coordinate with the Hai Van Ward Trade Union and related units in grasping the living situation, the aspirations of workers, and promptly make proposals and recommendations to take good care of the lives of workers.
In particular, coordinate with functional forces at the place of residence to maintain security and order, contributing to maintaining the peace of the city.
Mr. Le Van Dai also suggested that the Hai Van Ward Trade Union actively coordinate and support the Executive Board to successfully complete its tasks; focus on organizing activities to care for workers residing in the group.
On the occasion of launching the self-management team, the City Labor Federation presented 1 mobile carriage for the team to have conditions to live and presented 10 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND to workers in difficult circumstances.
Also at the conference, the City Labor Federation coordinated with the Hai Van Ward Labor Union to organize propaganda on security and order for workers in the group.
