On August 29, Hanoi Medical University announced that it will enroll 80 additional students in the Social Work major based on high school graduation exam scores. Admission combinations include A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry), B00 (Math, Chemistry, Biology), B08 (Math, Biology, English). The admission threshold is 17 points.
The Social Work major is a new major that will start enrolling students from this year.
This is the first time the school has added students in decades.

Candidates nationwide who wish to enter the school must submit their application directly from 8:00 a.m. on September 3 to 4:00 p.m. on September 12. The dossier includes a notarized copy of the high school graduation exam results certificate and a copy of the foreign language certificate, national and international awards (if any).
This year, the admission score to Hanoi Medical University ranges from 17-28.7 points. The Social Work, Preventive Medicine, and Nursing majors of Thanh Hoa branch - all took 17 points - the lowest benchmark score of the school.
This year, Hanoi Medical University admitted 1,910 students with two methods: direct admission and based on high school graduation exam scores. According to the announcement, in this school year, the tuition fee for the school's majors is expected to fluctuate between 16.9 and 62.2 million VND/school year, an increase of 1.9 to 7 million VND compared to 2024.
Of which, the majors of Medicine, Traditional Medicine, Dentistry have the highest tuition fee of 62.2 million VND/year, an increase of about 7 million VND/school year.
The majors of Refractive Ophthalmology, Medical Labor Technique, Rehabilitation Technology, Advanced Program Nursing, Midwifery, Medical Imaging Technology, Dental prosthetics cost 47.2 million VND/year, an increase of about 5.4 million VND/year.
The remaining majors fluctuate between 16.9-31.1 million VND/year, of which Psychology and Social Work are the majors with the lowest tuition fees at Hanoi Medical University.
