Speaking at the congress, Gia Lai Provincial Party Secretary Thai Dai Ngoc emphasized that the congress is an important political event for union members, workers, civil servants, employees (DVCNVCLD) and the provincial Trade Union organization.
Mr. Thai Dai Ngoc agreed with the direction, goals, targets, tasks and key solutions of the 2025-2030 term presented in the Political Report, especially the goals, targets, 3 breakthroughs and 9 key tasks and solutions.
These are issues that are both urgent and long-term strategic, in line with the development trend of the country and the province in the coming time," said Mr. Thai Dai Ngoc.
According to the Secretary of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, in recent years, along with the development of the province, the Provincial Trade Union has continuously grown stronger. The implementation of the policy of arranging and streamlining the apparatus has achieved results in terms of quantity, scale and quality.
The content and methods of Trade Union activities have many innovations, strongly oriented towards the grassroots level; promptly grasp the ideological situation, life, and employment of workers, civil servants and laborers and the business operating situation; effectively perform the role of representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers, civil servants and laborers.
In particular, during the recent historic storm and flood, trade union levels coordinated with Party committees and authorities to organize visits, encouragement, and support for over 2,000 union members and workers (DV, NLD) to overcome the consequences, overcome difficulties, and soon stabilize their lives. These are practical and meaningful activities.
The above results are proof of the solidarity, unity, and striving efforts of all officials, civil servants, public employees and laborers; affirming the role, position and responsibility of the Trade Union organization in the cause of building and developing the province," Mr. Thai Dai Ngoc emphasized.
The Secretary of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee also highly appreciated the serious and receptive spirit of the Provincial Trade Union Executive Committee in frankly recognizing the shortcomings and difficulties in directing and implementing tasks.
I believe that the new Provincial Trade Union will continue to promote the spirit of responsibility, dynamism, and creativity; lead and direct trade union levels to excellently complete the goals and tasks set out in the Congress Resolution," Mr. Thai Dai Ngoc expressed.
Going deep into existing problems to overcome them in the new term
Speaking to direct the congress, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) Huynh Thanh Xuan agreed with the goals, targets, tasks and solutions set out in the next term mentioned in the Political Report submitted to the Congress.
He proposed that the congress seriously absorb the directing opinions of Gia Lai Provincial Party Secretary Thai Dai Ngoc to thoroughly grasp and concretize into the program and plan to implement the congress resolution in the coming time.
At the congress, Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan, on behalf of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, sent deep condolences to the people, officials, union members, and workers in the province in the face of difficulties and losses caused by the recent historic storm and flood. At the same time, he acknowledged the spirit of mutual affection and efforts to overcome difficulties of the provincial Trade Union levels in promptly caring for, encouraging, and supporting union members and workers affected by natural disasters.
According to Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan, in the past term, trade union levels in the province have had many innovations in content and methods of operation, focusing on effectively performing the function of representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers. Care work is regularly deployed with many creative and effective models and ways of doing things, especially during peak periods such as holidays, Tet, Workers' Month and models "Trade Union Home", "Trade Union Meal"...
The Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor highly appreciated and praised the outstanding results achieved by the provincial Trade Union levels in the past term.
The achieved results are very commendable, but there are also limitations and shortcomings. The process of arranging and streamlining the organizational structure, streamlining staff and adjustments in the operating mechanism have affected the quality and efficiency of the Trade Union's operation. These are issues that the congress needs to delve into, discuss and identify solutions to overcome in the next term," Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan directed.
Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan proposed that, immediately after the congress, the Executive Committee of the new Provincial Labor Federation urgently complete, promulgate and implement the Action Program to implement the Congress Resolution along with plans to deploy breakthroughs and key tasks to achieve effectiveness and become substantive.
