Mr. Dang Thanh Thao, Head of the Mechanical and Electrical Team of Asia Architecture and Trading Co., Ltd. is one of the 29 typical faces awarded the certificate of merit "Good Labor, Creative Labor" by the Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee.
For 2 consecutive years, Mr. Thao has researched and proposed two major initiatives: the sale paper length measuring system and the upgrading of the Vecni coating machine. These two initiatives not only bring great efficiency in saving raw materials and increasing productivity but also help improve labor safety and improve product quality for businesses.
Remember at the "Good Labor, Creative Labor" honoring ceremony in 2025 organized by the Da Nang City Labor Federation in the middle of the year, Mr. Thao made a very impressive speech:
When the Trade Union launched the movement "Good Labor - Creative Labor", workers responded very positively. Each person tried to do their part better, and at the same time boldly proposed initiatives to improve operations, shorten production time, reduce raw material costs, which will automatically bring common success to businesses and localities. The initiatives were recognized and rewarded promptly, making us feel that our labor efforts are appreciated.
Mr. Thao's speech reflects an important change in the understanding of emulation in Da Nang in recent times, especially the emulation movement to celebrate the 14th National Party Congress. No longer are they movement-based launches, emulation goes straight to each job position, each production stage.
There, each worker has a "backbone" to strive for: doing more correct procedures, reducing errors, increasing safety, saving materials, and improving equipment performance. Emulation therefore becomes a positive loop, where each individual effort contributes to the success of the collective.
To make the emulation movement non-formal
According to Mr. Le Van Dai, Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City Labor Federation, the key to making the emulation movement, especially the emulation movement to celebrate the 14th National Party Congress of the Da Nang Trade Union, not fall into the main form is the organization and companionship of the Trade Union.
Emulation must closely follow the production and business practices of each enterprise and each unit. When the Trade Union plays a good role in maintaining the rhythm, helping the movement to be associated with productivity, quality and legitimate rights of workers, emulation will naturally spread and create sustainable motivation" - Mr. Le Van Dai emphasized.
In Da Nang, the Trade Union not only launches the movement but also organizes it to make the movement stand firm: selecting emulation content suitable for each field; guiding grassroots trade unions to develop specific criteria; creating a mechanism for receiving, appraising and rewarding initiatives in a timely manner. This method helps workers feel secure that their efforts are recognized fairly and transparently.
Substantive emulation also contributes to building harmonious labor relations. When workers proactively improve, businesses recognize and share benefits, trust is strengthened, and dialogue becomes more substantive. From there, a stable working environment, improved labor discipline, and reduced safety risks - key factors for sustainable business development.
In 2025, from the "Good Labor, Creative Labor" movement, the emulation movement to celebrate the 14th National Party Congress, many collectives and individuals in Da Nang have been commended and honored at all levels.
But the greater value is not only in the number of titles. The important thing is that a new standard is being formed: emulation associated with efficiency; creativity associated with profit value; reward associated with specific results.
Emulation starts from each person doing their job better every day. When that spirit spreads, success will be the inevitable result of a substantive and persistent emulation movement.
