On September 19, the Hung Yen Provincial Labor Federation organized the Conference "Trade Unions listen to union members speak"; deployed and thoroughly grasped a number of directives and resolutions of the Central Government and the province; commended and rewarded children of union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers with high achievements in studying and overcoming difficulties to study well in the 2025-2026 school year.
According to the report at the conference, currently, the Hung Yen Provincial Labor Federation is managing 1,539 grassroots trade unions with 315,968 trade union members.
According to the Provincial Labor Federation, the ideological situation of union members and workers is stable, united, trusting and well complying with the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws.
Union members and workers actively participate in labor and work emulation, participate in patriotic emulation movements, social, humanitarian, and charitable activities; contribute to the implementation of political tasks at agencies, units, businesses and socio-economic development of the province.
At the conference, Mr. Luu Quang Dong - Chairman of the Trade Union of Tien Phong Thai Binh Co., Ltd. (Le Quy Don commune) raised some problems related to Trade Union financial regulations.
Mr. Dong also said that expenditures for propaganda work, including cultural, artistic, sports and other mass activities, are used up to 25% of the funds of the grassroots Trade Union.
With this rate, the organization of grassroots activities, if implemented, is only on a small scale, the number of participants is limited, and the role of connecting and caring for union members and workers has not been promoted.
From there, Mr. Dong proposed that the Provincial Labor Federation propose to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to adjust the spending ratio and soon issue a replacement decision to unify the expenditures. At the same time, he proposed to clarify how grassroots trade unions can implement expenditures while waiting for guidance.
Also at the conference, Mr. Pham The Hieu - Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of Viet Y Steel Joint Stock Company (Pho Noi A Industrial Park, Nguyen Van Linh commune) raised issues related to commending the grassroots Trade Union for good performance in collecting and paying funds and trade union dues.
Mr. Hieu asked: "Currently, according to regulations, grassroots trade unions collecting and paying union fees correctly and fully according to regulations will be rewarded. So, will units be rewarded, who are the beneficiaries of rewards?
At the conference, opinions from union members and grassroots trade union officials were directly raised to exchange and clarify contents related to trade union activities.
On this occasion, the Hung Yen Provincial Labor Federation organized to commend and reward children of union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers with high achievements in studying and overcoming difficulties to study well in the 2025-2026 school year, and at the same time presented gifts to the children.
