Propagating practical legal knowledge to workers and laborers
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Khac Diep - Deputy Head of the Trade Union of Ho Chi Minh City Police (People's Police Trade Union) said that in the coming time, the City Police Trade Union will coordinate with the City Police and the City Labor Federation to promote propaganda and legal education for workers in the area.
Through the program, it aims to strengthen close, regular, and long-term coordination between units, promote comprehensive strength in trade union activities, and perform political and professional tasks and the workers' labor movement.
According to the plan, the coordination time for implementing the program starts from June 2026 to March 2030; it is expected to organize 3-4 propaganda sessions each year, each propaganda session about 120 minutes; mobilize 200-500 trade union members, workers in industrial parks, export processing zones, and high-tech zones in the City to participate.
The main contents disseminated to workers include: Law on security and order and crime prevention; prevention of criminal offenses, social evils, black credit, online fraud and high-tech crime. Prevention of drug crime and law violations related to drugs. Law on traffic order and safety and safe traffic participation skills for workers. Law on fire prevention and fighting and rescue; knowledge and skills in fire prevention and fighting at the workplace...
Guiding the implementation of legal regulations on residence; guiding online public service procedures on administrative management, vehicle registration and driver's license re-issuance.
Rich forms of organization
To make the program practical and effective, the Trade Union Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Police has proactively developed a plan to organize the implementation of the City Police Trade Union Project "Coordinating with functional units of the City Police and units under the City Labor Federation to promote propaganda and legal education for workers in Ho Chi Minh City" (program).
In addition to the goal of strengthening close, regular, and long-term coordination between the City Police Trade Union and units, the program is also a practical activity in response to the emulation movement "Three Firsts: Most Disciplined - Most Loyal - Closest to the People" of the Ministry of Public Security and the emulation movement "Three Innovations: Thinking Innovation - Method Innovation - Content Innovation" of the People's Police Trade Union; contributing to promoting the emulation movement of skillful mass mobilization and the movement of all people protecting national security in the City.
At the same time, through the program, contributing to raising legal awareness and law compliance of workers in industrial parks in the area; preventing and limiting violations of law, crimes and violations related to security and social order and safety among workers.
Regarding the organization form, the City Police Trade Union will organize direct propaganda sessions at companies and enterprises in industrial parks, export processing zones, and high-tech zones. Combine oral propaganda, short clip presentations, exchanges, quick questions and answers about real-life situations arising related to the law; distribute legal propaganda materials and leaflets.
At the programs, integrate the organization of contests, gameshows, skits, and theatrical propaganda about the law; combine mobilizing social resources to care for workers in difficult circumstances.
In particular, the City Police Trade Union will coordinate with non-core units to organize simulated trials on illegal situations; organize outdoor activities such as safe driving according to models; combine free tire oil changes and gifts for workers...
