Voluntary resignation from management
Ms. Do Thi Hoai Thuong, Principal of 19.8. Secondary School (Tra Tan commune, Da Nang city), is one of the management officials who actively resigned from leadership positions to return to teaching directly. Graduating with a Physics Education major at the University of Pedagogy, Ms. Thuong dedicated 22 years of dedication to the education sector. Having held many positions, from teacher to Vice Principal and Principal at schools in the area, she has always been respected by colleagues and students for her professional capacity and sense of responsibility.
When the city implemented the policy of streamlining the apparatus and merging educational institutions, Ms. Thuong actively submitted a petition to the Commune Party Committee and the Department of Culture and Social Affairs to resign from the position of Principal. Her wish was to return to the podium to continue imparting natural science knowledge to students. Sharing about this decision, Ms. Thuong said: "I personally actively wish to return to work as a direct teacher in accordance with the guiding documents and directions of the department and departments.
The female principal confided: "The biggest goal of the Party and State when implementing the arrangement and merger of schools and classes is to streamline the management staff to strengthen the force of teachers directly teaching classes. Therefore, I completely voluntarily comply with the general policy".
Her decision to give up her leadership position stemmed from the desire to contribute to the common cause of education, creating the most favorable conditions for the locality to be proactive in arranging and assigning redundant personnel.
Compact merger plan, ensuring workers' rights
Exchanging about the implementation roadmap in the locality, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tu, Vice Chairman of Tra Tan Commune People's Committee, Da Nang City, said that the commune has developed and issued Plan No. 09/PA-UBND to arrange educational non-business units. Tra Tan commune reduces 50% of the number of school focal points, from 6 schools to 3 schools (including the merger of 2 kindergartens into Tra Tan Kindergarten and the conversion of primary and secondary schools). For redundant management officials, the commune prioritizes arranging them to the position of Vice Principal or resolving aspirations to transfer to teaching, preserving allowances/time to hold positions according to regulations. For redundant administrative officials such as accountants or clerks, the locality implements a plan to send them to the Commune People's Committee to be in charge of appropriate work blocks.
Across the city, Da Nang City People's Committee has issued Plan No. 03/PA-UBND, restructuring the education network. The block of schools under the commune-level People's Committee has been reduced from 893 facilities to 382 facilities (reaching a reduction rate of 57.22%). The city requires localities to complete the announcement of decisions on arrangement and handover of organizational, personnel, and financial resources before August 25, ensuring that the new apparatus officially operates from September 1. At the same time, be ready to enter the new school year 2026-2027 stably and effectively.
