According to the VNPT Trade Union (under the Vietnam Science and Technology Trade Union), on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026), in order to promote the tradition of "When drinking water, remember the source", "Gratitude" of generations of VNPT union members and workers towards people with meritorious services to the revolution, families of war invalids and martyrs and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, the VNPT Trade Union requests affiliated trade unions to proactively coordinate with professional departments to implement gratitude activities.
Accordingly, trade union levels directly under VNPT Trade Union deploy contents such as propaganda, raising awareness of union members and workers in implementing regimes and policies, caring for the material and spiritual life of wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, families of martyrs, people with meritorious services to the revolution and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; encouraging gratitude movements at units, localities and between units within the Group; based on the actual situation, from the unit's budget according to regulations, organizing activities such as offering incense, visiting martyrs' cemeteries, visiting and giving gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, families of martyrs, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers and people with meritorious services to the revolution, typical policy families on the occasion of the 27th anniversary, organizing meetings with union members and workers of units who are wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, relatives of wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, martyrs...
For units assigned by the Group to manage and take care of traditional rooms, relics, monuments, and martyrs' cemeteries, unit trade unions mobilize union members and workers to participate in taking care of and cleaning up works, ensuring that historical and traditional works are always clean, beautiful, solemn, and spacious; communicate quickly, promptly, and continuously about activities to celebrate the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day to create an effect and spread the role and responsibility of the unit and each official and union member towards "Gratitude" activities.
Currently, the VNPT Trade Union is working with units to review and update the list of gifts for families of union members and workers who are wounded soldiers and sick soldiers; union members and workers who are relatives of martyrs, wounded soldiers, and sick soldiers to visit and give gifts.
