Practical care for union members
According to a report from the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ), in the first 6 months of 2026, 10/10 targets assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor all reached 55-60% of the plan, creating a clear change, an important foundation for completing the goals of 2026.
The highlight is the work of caring for and protecting union members and workers during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026 with a total budget of more than 51.4 billion VND. Many practical programs are implemented synchronously, strongly towards grassroots levels.
The programs "Tet Sum vay - Spring of Gratitude to the Party", "New Year's Eve Meal" have visited and supported tens of thousands of union members in difficult circumstances. Through this, workers are more assured of working, attached to businesses and trade union organizations.

Organization development work continued to achieve positive results when 26 new grassroots trade unions (CĐCS) were established and nearly 14,000 union members were developed. This is an important premise for expanding the network of care and protection of the legitimate rights and interests of workers.
Workers' Month 2026 takes place with many practical activities such as dialogues between provincial leaders and workers, health checks, support for 900 union members in difficult circumstances and successful organization of the 1st Provincial Sports Festival for workers, civil servants and laborers.
Occupational safety and hygiene continues to be emphasized when more than 420 grassroots trade unions propagate to over 120,000 turns of union members and workers. The Provincial Labor Federation also trained and issued professional certificates to 480 grassroots trade union officials.
Spreading creative models
Besides the overall results, many creative models at enterprises continue to be effective, contributing to improving the quality of trade union activities. All approaches aim to closely care for needs, creating a solid support for union members.
At Bao Tien Trading and Production Co., Ltd., the "Where to send all love" model and the "Mother and Baby" Club support female workers who are pregnant and raising young children through health advice and many practical companion activities.
The enterprise also built milk extraction and storage rooms for female workers after childbirth, creating conditions to maintain milk supply when returning to work. The model shows the concern of businesses and trade union organizations for female workers.

At Viet Hong Export Garment Co., Ltd., the "Trade Union Meal" program contributes to improving the quality of mid-shift meals. This is also an opportunity for trade union officials to listen to their thoughts, aspirations and strengthen their connection with union members.
Meanwhile, Ty Bach Co., Ltd. maintains the effectiveness of building a labor safety culture model through on-site inspection, supervision of the implementation of regulations and timely receipt of workers' recommendations.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation - said that in the coming time, trade union levels will continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, taking union members and workers as the center in all activities.
Mr. Linh requested the grassroots trade union to promote the application of digital technology, improve the quality of dialogue and collective bargaining, and well implement grassroots democracy regulations. At the same time, continue to develop union members, build strong trade unions and launch emulation movements associated with production and business tasks.
