According to a report from the Provincial Labor Federation, from July 27 - August 1, Vinh Long Trade Union implemented many outstanding activities towards the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union, while strengthening care for union members and workers and developing trade union organizations in the province.
During the week, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation organized a traditional meeting with the participation of provincial leaders and trade union officials from various periods. On this occasion, the unit presented 386 gifts worth 193 million VND to union members who are wounded soldiers, children of martyrs, children of wounded soldiers and supported 30 union members of Tra Vinh University in difficult circumstances.
Along with care activities, the Provincial Labor Federation submitted to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for consideration and awarding the Creative Labor Certificate in 2025 to 89 union members and workers; and at the same time completed reports on job positions, personnel work and participated in studying and thoroughly grasping the Resolution of the 3rd Plenum of the 14th Central Committee in online form.
Organization development work continues to achieve positive results when newly admitting 172 union members, establishing the grassroots trade union of Jia Yue Xing Vietnam Footwear Co., Ltd. To date, the Provincial Labor Federation manages 7 commune and ward trade unions and 656 grassroots trade unions and professional unions with 178,101 union members out of a total of 185,564 workers.
Activities at grassroots trade unions took place sôi nổi with a total cost of care, commendation for initiatives and organization of movements exceeding 6.8 billion VND. Many businesses improved the quality of lunch meals, improved working conditions, awarded scholarships, supported loans, organized sports and arts festivals and mobilized nearly 400 union members to participate in voluntary blood donation.
