On January 7, the Provincial Federation of Labor held a conference to review work in 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025.
Attending the conference were Mr. Phan Van Anh - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Nguyen Khac Hieu - Vice Chairman of Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee; Ms. Bui Thi Thu Hang - Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Phuc province.
Reporting at the Conference, Ms. Trinh Thi Thoa - President of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Labor Federation said: In 2024, all levels of the provincial Trade Unions will closely follow the direction of the Party Committee and the superior Trade Union to focus on innovation, implementing diverse and effective measures to care for and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers, civil servants and laborers.
The work of developing and consolidating the quality of the Trade Union organization has achieved many positive results. The province has newly established 70 grassroots Trade Unions; developed more than 19,000 new union members, introduced nearly 1,500 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration of admission; organized visits, support, and presented gifts to nearly 165,000 union members and workers with a total amount of more than 140 billion VND.
In particular, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024, the Vinh Phuc Provincial Labor Federation supported 12,740 union members in difficult circumstances with nearly 6.4 billion VND; supported more than 12,700 train and bus tickets with a total amount of more than 2.6 billion VND for workers from other provinces to return home for Tet; mobilized and supported 1.3 billion VND to support and share difficulties with union members, workers and people affected by storm No. 3; extracted the Fund "For poor workers" to support house building for 7 union members in difficult circumstances, who have land but do not have the conditions to build houses...
Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Phan Van Anh - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor highly appreciated the results of the activities of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Trade Union, especially in taking care of Tet, implementing the Workers' Month, launching the movement of creative initiatives, good workers, activities to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union...
The Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor proposed that in 2025, all levels of Trade Unions in Vinh Phuc province continue to implement resolutions, programs, and projects to implement the Resolution of the 15th Provincial Trade Union Congress and the Resolution of the 13th Vietnam Trade Union Congress.
Focus on performing well the task of representing and protecting the legal and legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers. Promote the development of union members, establish grassroots unions associated with the management and improvement of the quality of union members and the quality of grassroots union activities.
On this occasion, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded the Emulation Flag to 3 collectives with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement of Excellent Workers and building a strong Trade Union organization in 2024.
