Practical ways to do it
Implementing the "Trade Union Pig - Accompanying and Sharing" model launched by Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union, Da Nang City, the grassroots Trade Union of Ngoc Anh Construction Materials Co., Ltd. (Thu Bon commune) organized and deployed throughout the unit, becoming the second unit to respond to the model, contributing to spreading practical ways of caring for union members and workers.
Ngoc Anh Construction Materials Co., Ltd. currently has 266 workers and laborers, operating in 3 Trade Union Groups located in Duy Thu, Duy Hoa and Duy Chau (old) areas.
With the characteristic of distributed production and shift work, the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union has proactively developed flexible implementation plans suitable to the actual conditions of each group.
Accordingly, each trade union group arranges to place "piggy banks" in the common living area; union members and workers participate in contributions on a voluntary basis, depending on their ability, possibly by day, week or on salary occasions.
Management is assigned to the head of the trade union group, ensuring publicity and transparency. Periodically, the groups conduct "piggy banking", summarize funds to promptly support union members in difficult circumstances, illnesses, and labor accidents.
Representatives of the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union said that the "Trade Union Pig" model not only creates a practical care fund but also contributes to fostering the spirit of mutual affection and strengthening the cohesion in the collective of workers, especially in the context that businesses have many workers and are scattered in many working areas.
Creating resources to care for workers
The fact that the grassroots Trade Union of Ngoc Anh Construction Materials Co., Ltd. actively responded, becoming the second unit to implement the model after the Duy Xuyen Regional Health Center implemented it, has affirmed the spread of a simple but effective approach of Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union.
Ms. Truong Thi Hoai Giang - Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union of Duy Xuyen Regional Health Center said: Responding and spreading this model is not only practical in terms of material but also contributes to fostering the spirit of solidarity and compassion in each union member and worker; building an increasingly strong Trade Union organization, truly being a reliable support for union members.
From small contributions every day, the model is gradually building internal resources to make the Trade Union organization more proactive in caring for and supporting union members and workers.
The program "Trade Union Heo Dat - Accompanying and Sharing" is an initiative of Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union, which has been launched to 20 grassroots trade unions directly under it, aiming to create resources to support union members in difficult circumstances, and continue to spread the spirit of mutual affection.
Ms. Lam Thi Vy - Chairwoman of Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union said: The program was born in the context that Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union, after being established from July 1, 2025, has had many social activities, but does not have many resources, and must mobilize socialization from all levels of government and businesses.
Currently, Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union also sponsors 12 poor students overcoming difficulties who are children of workers and laborers in the area.
When launching the program "Trade Union Heo Dat - Accompanying and Sharing", we called for the savings of union members and grassroots trade union organizations, although not much, but it will help the organization have more resources to be more proactive in its activities as well as serve the work of caring for union members and workers in difficult circumstances" - Ms. Vy said.
Also according to Ms. Lam Thi Vy, in the coming time, Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union will continue to direct and replicate the model to grassroots trade unions directly under it, contributing to building an increasingly strong Trade Union organization, truly being a reliable support for workers.
