Da Nang reduces 500 grassroots trade unions with 30,409 union members after dissolving, ending the operation of grassroots trade unions of state-paid agencies and public service units.

Mr. Le Van Dai, Permanent Vice President of the Da Nang City Labor Federation, said: Based on the directives of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the City Labor Federation promptly implements the contents in accordance with the requirements of the arrangement of trade unions according to Resolution No. 60-NQ/TW dated April 12, 2025 of the Party Central Committee, Conclusion No. 157-KL/TW dated May 25, 2025 of the Politburo.

Accordingly, when the competent authority issued a decision to end the operation of district-level administrative units, the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Labor Federation issued a decision to end the operation of labor federations of 7 districts, Trade Unions of the health sector, education, civil servants, Trade Unions of High-Tech Parks and industrial parks.

According to the direction of the General Confederation, the Da Nang City Labor Federation requires the trade union at the grassroots level to issue a decision to dissolve the organization and end the operation of the grassroots trade union of administrative agencies and public service units receiving 100% of the salary from the state budget.

Up to now, basically, this work content has been completed, ensuring the set requirements, accordingly, 500 grassroots unions and 30,409 union members have been reduced.

Units are currently handing over grassroots trade unions that are not subject to the end of operations to the City Labor Federation for management before ending their mission.
