Mr. Tong Van Bang - Member of the Presidium, Head of the Labor Relations Department, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - said the above information at the conference to evaluate the results of streamlining the organization and staffing of provincial and municipal labor federations, held on the morning of July 21.
Reporting on the results of the establishment of new commune, ward, special-zone trade unions, central trade unions of communes and wards; arranging union officials to work in industrial parks, Mr. Tong Van Bang said that the total number of communes, wards and special-zone trade unions eligible to establish commune, ward and special-zone trade unions is 699 units. The provinces and cities have established 395 commune, ward, special zone and central trade unions (a rate of 56.50%), of which: there are 132 commune trade unions, 232 ward trade unions, 5 special zone trade unions and 38 commune and ward trade union centers.
The number of positions arranged at the commune/ward/special area trade unions is 248 people, including 79 Vice Chairmen of the Commune-level Fatherland Front and Chairmen of the commune, ward, special- zone trade unions, central trade unions of communes and wards.
Some provincial and municipal labor federations have arranged 35 full-time union officials to work directly in 10 industrial parks and economic zones to monitor, manage, guide and support grassroots trade unions in industrial parks and economic zones.
Mr. Tong Van Bang also raised difficulties and problems related to trade unions in communes, wards, special zones, etc.
