Attending the launching ceremony of Workers' Month 2026 organized by Gia Van Commune Trade Union were Mr. Nguyen Hai Long - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial Labor Federation, along with representatives of Gia Van commune leaders and hundreds of union members and workers at affiliated grassroots trade unions.
With the theme "Vietnamese Workers: Innovation, Improving Labor Productivity", Workers' Month 2026 is held from April 15 to May 25.

Mr. Dinh The Hung - Chairman of Gia Van Commune Trade Union said that in this year's Workers' Month, the Commune Trade Union will organize many meaningful activities and set specific targets such as: striving for businesses with 50 or more employees to implement at least one activity to respond to Workers' Month 2026; 10% of union members and workers participate in proposing initiatives and technical improvements to improve labor productivity, of which 50% of initiatives are applied in practice at agencies, units, and businesses.

Organize activities to visit union members and workers in difficult circumstances, suffering from serious illnesses, and labor accidents; organize dialogues and negotiations to sign new collective labor agreements; propagate and admit union members, and establish new grassroots trade unions.
At the same time, coordinate with businesses to organize occupational safety and health training and organize cultural and sports activities, legal advice, and health check-ups for workers...

As of April 19, 18 grassroots trade unions directly under Gia Van Commune Trade Union have organized cultural and sports activities. 8 grassroots trade unions have negotiated with business owners to increase salaries ahead of schedule for employees and 5 grassroots trade unions have signed new or amended collective labor agreements. Many units have increased attendance allowances, supported meals, gasoline and drinking water for hot weather for employees" - Mr. Hung said.
Gia Van Commune Trade Union also implemented programs such as: "May Dialogue", "Thank you workers", forum for contributing opinions to build Trade Union organizations, "Labor Skills - Sustainable Employment" Day.

At the launching ceremony of Workers' Month 2026, Ninh Binh Provincial Labor Federation presented gifts to 20 union members and workers in difficult circumstances and supported the construction of 2 "Trade Union Homes", each house worth 50 million VND.
In addition, 2 collectives and 10 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit from the Provincial Labor Federation for their outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for good labor and building the Trade Union organization in 2025.

Also in the program of the launching ceremony of Workers' Month 2026, Gia Van Commune Trade Union organized a sports tournament for workers with more than 200 athletes from 18 grassroots trade unions participating. Thereby, contributing to improving spiritual life and strengthening the connection between workers and businesses.
