On the morning of April 19, information from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) - Ministry of Public Security said that Road Traffic Police Team No. 14 - Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police had just made a record to fine a car driver for overtaking a level crossing barrier while it was moving.
Accordingly, the incident occurred at about 8 am on April 18, at Km 10+400, North - South railway (Hanoi). At the above time, driver Nguyen Quang C (born 1977, residing in Hanoi) was driving a pickup truck with license plate 29H-148. XX. When reaching the above-mentioned people's level crossing, this driver still drove the car through even though the barrier was lowering.
When entering the railway tracks, the barrier automatically lowers completely, causing the car to be trapped, posing a potential risk of particularly serious railway traffic accidents.


Functional forces have made a record of handling the driver for the offense of "crossing the level crossing barrier when the barrier was moving".
For this violation, drivers are fined from 3 - 5 million VND and GPLX points are deducted according to regulations (Decree 100/2019/ND-CP, amended and supplemented in Decree 123/2021).
Previously, at about 6:28 pm on April 18, at Km 335+637 Dong Van - Phu Xuyen section (Hanoi), train SE6 collided with a car with license plate 30M-282. XX driven by Mr. L.V. T (born 1984, residing in Dai Xuyen commune, Hanoi).
The collision caused the car to be heavily damaged, and the automatic train barrier system in the area was broken. Fortunately, the accident did not cause any casualties.
The initial cause was determined to be that the car driver stopped the car within the safe railway area.
