On the afternoon of April 18, at Rollsport Vietnam Footwear Co., Ltd., the Standing Committee of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) organized a launching ceremony for "Workers' Month", responding to "Moment of Action on Occupational Safety and Health" in 2026.
Attending the program on the side of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour were Mr. Tran Vu Ha - Deputy Head of the Trade Union Affairs Committee, Vietnam General Confederation of Labour. On the side of Thanh Hoa province were Ms. Do Thi Toan - Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Mr. Luong Trong Thanh - Chairman of the Provincial Confederation of Labour, along with representatives of departments, branches and a large number of union members and workers.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Luong Trong Thanh - Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation said that the whole province currently has more than 305,000 union members, with more than 317,000 union members directly involved in production at enterprises with trade union organizations.
Implementing the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Confederation of Labour has implemented many plans and guided grassroots trade unions to organize activities in "Workers' Month" and "Action Month on occupational safety and health" in a practical, creative, and effective direction.
With the theme "Thanh Hoa workers innovate, create, and improve labor productivity", many programs have been implemented such as: launching the Peak Month for union member development, establishing grassroots trade unions; organizing the "May Dialogue" between provincial leaders and workers; contest for legal consultants and excellent safety and hygiene workers.
Besides, there are activities to promote the movement of initiatives and technical improvements; launching the "Workers' Cultural Space", legal advisory group; organizing health festivals; visiting and supporting union members in difficult circumstances, labor accidents, occupational diseases; building and repairing "Trade Union Homes".
Speaking at the program, Ms. Do Thi Toan - Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Fatherland Front Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved by Thanh Hoa trade union levels in the past time, especially in the work of caring for and protecting the rights of workers.
To ensure that activities in Workers' Month and Action Month on occupational safety and health in 2026 are effective, leaders of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Fatherland Front Committee proposed that levels, sectors, businesses and trade union organizations continue to closely coordinate and synchronously implement solutions to build the working class.
In which, it is necessary to strengthen propaganda, inspection, and examination, raise awareness about occupational safety and health; improve working conditions, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of workers.
At the launching ceremony, representatives of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation presented more than 1,500 gifts, with a total value of nearly 2 billion VND, to workers in difficult circumstances.
On this occasion, the Provincial Labor Federation also presented trade union books and documents at the "Workers' Cultural Space" of Rollsport Vietnam Footwear Co., Ltd.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, trade union officials and workers launched a general environmental sanitation campaign around the production workshops and premises of Rollsport Vietnam Footwear Co., Ltd.
