Focused care
Lunar New Year is always a special time for union members and workers, especially for low-income people, people in difficult circumstances, and those far from home. Therefore, the Ninh Binh Provincial Labor Federation has implemented many focused and key activities to care for union members and workers on the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, with the consistent goal of "All union members and workers have Tet".
Mr. Nguyen Hai Long - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial Labor Federation - said that Tet care activities for union members and workers this year are deployed synchronously, with focus and key points, directly aimed at the most difficult groups. In which, priority is given to union members and workers who have had labor accidents, serious illnesses, affected by natural disasters and epidemics, and union members and workers who rent rooms and do not have the conditions to return to their hometowns for Tet.
One of the highlights is the organization of the "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" Program.
According to the plan, the Provincial Labor Federation will organize the "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" Program for 2 days, expected to take place from January 26 to 31, 2026, at the Culture - Sports Center of Chau Son Industrial Park (Chau Son ward). In parallel with direct activities at the program, union members and workers will also participate in the "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" online organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Not only stopping at the preferential shopping space, the Trade Union Tet Market is also a place for union members and workers to experience the early Tet atmosphere, to meet, share and clearly feel the concern of the Trade Union organization in the last days of the year" - Mr. Long shared.
Also according to Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial Labor Federation Nguyen Hai Long, besides visiting and giving Tet gifts, Tet greetings continue to be considered a key task. The Provincial Labor Federation will organize delegations to directly go to businesses, industrial parks, and units with many union members and workers to visit, encourage, and give Tet gifts.
For the Provincial Labor Federation, it is expected to give 18,000 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances during the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year, each gift worth 1 million VND, including 700,000 VND in cash and 300,000 VND in kind.
From plan to action for a fulfilling Tet
Ninh Binh Provincial Labor Federation has directed the Trade Union Boards of industrial parks, commune-level Trade Unions and grassroots trade unions to coordinate with businesses, employers and local authorities to support a part of the cost of buying bus tickets for union members and workers to return home for Tet and return to work after Tet safely, conveniently, and thoughtfully. Bus trips and support policies focus on prioritizing union members and workers in difficult circumstances, far from home and working in industrial parks in the province.
The Provincial Labor Federation has also directed trade unions at all levels to proactively coordinate with employers to publicly announce Tet salary and bonus plans at least 20 days before the Lunar New Year holiday. At the same time, supervise the implementation of regimes on working hours, rest hours, overtime, ensuring legitimate rights for union members and workers, especially during the peak period at the end of the year.
According to Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial Labor Federation Nguyen Hai Long, trade union levels in the province not only care about material things but also pay attention to spiritual activities for union members and workers during Tet such as organizing the "Tet Sum vay" Program, "Trade Union Year-end Meal" with a spending level of 70,000 VND/meal from trade union financial sources or socialized sources.
The implementation of Tet care activities for union members and workers is closely linked to grasping the situation of labor relations, promptly detecting and coordinating to handle cases of businesses facing difficulties, risking salary and bonus debts, dissolution, bankruptcy or escape before Tet, in order to protect the legitimate and lawful rights of workers and maintain security and order in the area" - Mr. Long affirmed.
