Nearly 1,500 train and plane tickets to bring workers home for Tet
Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor said that in a series of activities to care for union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the Provincial Federation of Labor supported 1,000 train tickets for union members and workers who are unable to return home for Tet with a total amount of more than 2.1 billion VND. The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor also supported 350 round-trip train tickets and 92 air tickets for union members, workers and their relatives to return home for Tet.
Trains will depart from Bien Hoa station to Vinh station, Thanh Hoa station and Hanoi station. Expected time is December 24, 25, 26 and 27 (from January 23-26, 2025).
In addition to the families of workers who are able to return to their hometowns to celebrate Tet, many workers also choose to celebrate Tet in Dong Nai province. Before the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025, the Trade Union of Chang Shin Vietnam Company Limited (Thanh Phu Commune, Vinh Cuu District) said that it and the company's board of directors had organized visits to 2,400 workers staying at boarding houses in Trang Dai Ward, Bien Hoa City; Hamlet 1 and Hamlet 5, Thanh Phu Commune, Vinh Cuu District and Long Thanh District.
At each boarding house, the Executive Committee of the grassroots union and the Board of Directors of Chang Shin Vietnam Company Limited visited, encouraged and gave gifts to union members and workers.
According to the company's union, this is an activity to show gratitude and encourage union members and workers in production in 2024, and at the same time encourage workers to have more working spirit in 2025. The year-end gifts for workers in boarding houses also bring practical value, encouraging workers on the occasion of Tet and Spring. This is also an annual activity, a tradition of the grassroots union of Chang Shin Vietnam Company Limited.
Visit and give gifts to the boarding house to wish the reunion and employees a happy New Year
Mr. Dang Tuan Tu - Chairman of the Trade Union of Chang Shin Vietnam Company Limited said: "On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, for workers who do not have the conditions to return to their hometown to celebrate Tet but celebrate Tet in Dong Nai, we will visit and encourage union members and workers, so that workers can enter a new working year with excitement and enthusiasm...".
Worker Nguyen Thi Hieu, who lives in Thanh Phu commune, Vinh Cuu district, said that on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the union and company leaders visited her room and gave her gifts.
Ms. Hieu said that after more than 10 years working for the company, she feels secure because of the company's welfare policies. In particular, the union officials and company leaders always pay attention and share with workers in difficult situations in boarding houses, making her and her family feel warm even though they celebrate Tet far from home.
Ms. Tran Thi Hong Thao - Chairwoman of Trang Bom District Labor Federation said that in order to promote Tet care activities for union members and workers on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2025, the district's labor unions at all levels have planned to give gifts and organize trips to take workers home to celebrate Tet. It is expected that this year, Trang Bom District Labor Federation will give over 14,000 gifts to union members, workers in difficult circumstances and cases of occupational accidents from 20% or more.
