According to the Hanoi Employment Service Center, in the second quarter of 2026, the capital's labor market will lack about 50,000 high-quality workers.

Hanoi Employment Service Center assesses that in the second quarter of 2026, Hanoi recorded a large demand for human resources with professional qualifications, professional skills and adaptability to new technologies. The whole city is lacking about 50,000 high-quality workers, mainly concentrated in high-tech, engineering and sustainable development industries.

Notably, semiconductor technology is becoming one of the fields with the highest recruitment demand today. The market needs to add about 15,000 engineers and technicians to serve the design, production, operation and product testing stages. For the semiconductor technician position, the common income ranges from 15-25 million VND/month. In addition to professional knowledge, workers need to have technical thinking, accurate working ability and appropriate foreign language proficiency to meet job requirements.

Along with the trend of high-tech development, industries in the green economy sector are also creating many new job opportunities. It is expected that the recruitment demand in the green logistics sector in the Capital will increase by about 20% in the near future. Many new positions have appeared and are increasingly being interested by businesses such as clean energy consultants, electric vehicle charging station operators, green supply chain managers and jobs related to sustainable development. The income level of this industry group currently ranges from 12-25 million VND/month, depending on the position and work experience.

The Hanoi Employment Service Center recommends that, in the face of changes in the labor market, workers need to proactively update knowledge, improve professional qualifications, digital skills and foreign languages to meet the recruitment requirements of businesses. Good preparation of professional capacity will help workers effectively access job opportunities in industries that are developing rapidly.
