Taking care of union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, on January 23, the National Assembly Delegation of Kien Giang province coordinated with the Labor Federation of Giong Rieng district to organize a program to give Tet gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
At the program, 340 gifts were given to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, with a total cost of 250 million VND.
On behalf of the delegation, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Be - Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Kien Giang Province - sent greetings, encouragement and New Year wishes to union members and workers. Ms. Kim Be hopes that all union members and workers will strive with the locality to fulfill their tasks well, contributing to the socio-economic development of the district.
Union member Thi Van, Union of Vinh Phu Primary and Secondary School, shared: "My situation is difficult, I am a single mother raising two children with a low salary, my family's daily expenses are already lacking. Preparing for Tet for my family is even more difficult. The Union organization's care and support with practical gifts helps me have a more complete and happy Tet. I am very happy and will try harder in the future."
Member Danh Long, Union of Long Thanh Primary and Secondary School, shared: "My family is facing many difficulties, my wife is sick and being treated in the hospital, and I am raising a small child. My salary is not enough to make ends meet, but the Union cares for me and gives me gifts, I feel warmer. I feel the care, sharing, and support during difficult times, this is a source of motivation for me and my family to overcome."
On the same day, Mr. Truong Thanh Tuan - Chairman of the Labor Federation of Giong Rieng District - organized a delegation to visit and present 24 gifts to union members, workers and former leaders of the Labor Federation of the district with a total amount of 12 million VND.
The Chairman of the Giong Rieng District Labor Federation said: On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, the District Labor Federation and its affiliated trade unions presented nearly 600 gifts to union members and workers with a total value of nearly 350 million VND. These gifts contain the affection and care of the authorities at all levels, accompanying the Trade Union organization in taking care of the lives of union members and workers in difficult circumstances on the occasion of Tet, to help them have a warmer and more fulfilling Tet.
