On January 20, at Giong Rieng Ethnic Boarding Secondary School (Giong Rieng district, Kien Giang province), the Education Trade Union in coordination with the Department of Education and Training of Kien Giang province presented 17 Tet gifts to teachers in difficult circumstances at schools in Giong Rieng district.
Implementing the plan to take care of the Lunar New Year 2025 for union members and workers in the Education sector, the Education Trade Union presented gifts to 10 students who overcame difficulties to study well and more than 400 teachers in difficult circumstances (500,000 VND/gift) at affiliated grassroots Trade Unions.
Union member Truong Thi Thanh Truc - Thanh Loc Secondary and High School Union - expressed: "I feel very touched when teachers in difficult circumstances like me receive Tet gifts from the Union. The gifts are also a great source of spiritual encouragement, giving us teachers more strength to stand firm on the podium to teach well and study well."
Ms. Lam Thi Manh - Chairwoman of Kien Giang Education Trade Union - shared that on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the Standing Committee of the Education Trade Union organized material and spiritual care, creating motivation and encouragement for union members and workers in the new year to teach with a more enthusiastic, responsible and effective spirit.
“Although the material value of the gifts is not great, they contain spiritual meaning, showing affection, care and sharing for teachers in difficult circumstances, contributing to bringing union members a warm, meaningful and joyful Tet holiday. Thereby, promoting the role of the Trade Union in taking care of union members and employees, strengthening trust and enhancing the connection between union members and employees and the Trade Union organization,” Ms. Manh shared.
With the motto "All union members and workers have Tet", the Standing Committee of the Kien Giang Education Trade Union requires its affiliated trade unions to grasp the circumstances of union members and workers in order to promptly visit, give gifts, encourage, and wish them a happy Tet, especially union members and workers in difficult circumstances due to illness, work-related accidents, occupational diseases, lack of jobs, reduced income, etc.
At the same time, advise the Party Committee, coordinate with the authorities at the same level, and employers to allocate funds to support and take care of teachers in difficult circumstances during Tet. Promote and mobilize the participation and support of organizations, individuals, and businesses in activities to take care of union members and employees during Tet.
