
At the conference, the Southeast Economic Zone Trade Union reviewed the 13-year journey of construction and development since its establishment in April 2012. From a modest number of 12 grassroots trade unions and 2,000 union members at the beginning, up to now, the Southeast Economic Zone Trade Union has developed to 82 grassroots trade unions, managing more than 46,000 union members.
For the past 13 years, the Southeast Economic Zone Trade Union has always accompanied and stood side by side with workers and businesses. Since then, trade union activities in Nghe An economic and industrial parks have had many positive and clear changes, contributing greatly to stabilizing labor relations and employment in the area.
The unit regularly coordinates with the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board and competent authorities to supervise and inspect the implementation of the Labor Law, the Labor Safety and Hygiene Law, and social insurance at enterprises to guide and promptly propose and handle violations.

Timely participate in resolving labor disputes and participating in dialogues, developing appropriate policies. Trade unions at all levels have mobilized resources, regularly organized practical and effective activities to enhance the practical material and spiritual benefits for union members and workers.
On this occasion, to recognize the great contributions of the team of union officials over the past time, the Southeast Economic Zone Trade Union commended 70 outstanding union officials who have made many contributions to the development of the unit.

The conference also officially announced the Decision of Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation on terminating the operation of the Trade Union of the Southeast Nghe An Economic Zone from July 1, 2025. At the same time, transfer the affiliated grassroots trade union units to the Provincial Labor Federation for management.

Ms. Hoang Thi Thu Huong - Chairwoman of the Southeast Economic Zone Trade Union gave the opening speech and expressed gratitude to leaders at all levels, businesses and especially all grassroots trade union officials who have accompanied the proud and meaningful 13-year journey.
The end of this activity is to properly implement the policy of streamlining the apparatus of the Party and State, opening a new page for trade union organizations in economic zones. Regardless of the model changes, the trust and mission of union members will remain intact, continuing to accompany union members, workers and the sustainable development of the country
