However, the work of developing union members and establishing grassroots unions in Ninh Binh province has not achieved the desired results. In 2024, the total number of newly developed union members was 10,768. However, due to difficulties in some businesses, they had to stop production or cut labor, so the actual increase in union members was 3,366 people, reaching 30% of the target assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
At the conference, delegates frankly discussed the advantages and difficulties in developing union members and establishing grassroots unions in their respective areas. At the same time, they shared good and effective practices and proposed solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles in developing union members and establishing grassroots unions.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Do Viet Anh - Head of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission highly appreciated the efforts in developing union members and establishing grassroots unions of trade unions at all levels in Ninh Binh province in the past time. At the same time, he shared the difficulties that Ninh Binh Trade Union is facing in developing union members and establishing grassroots unions.
Head of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Do Viet Anh, suggested that in the coming time, trade unions at all levels in Ninh Binh province need to improve their operational functions. Affirm the role of trade unions through practical and specific activities at the grassroots level so that workers see the need to participate in trade unions and employers also see the need to have trade unions in enterprises.
Union officials need to improve their sense of responsibility, working capacity, and enthusiasm for union work, and take advantage of every opportunity to mobilize and persuade business owners to establish union organizations. At the same time, they must persistently propagate and mobilize workers to join union organizations through specific measures. Unions at all levels need to actively coordinate and mobilize the participation of other political and social organizations to participate in order to make the work of developing union members more effective.
