The urgent need today is to have safe, affordable, and near-workplace rental accommodation.

Answering this content, a representative of the Department of Construction of Khanh Hoa province said that social housing development work is always concerned and directed by the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee.
According to the Department of Construction, in the period 2021 - 2025, there are 10 social housing projects in the province, expected to be completed with about 4,500 units.
Stepping into the 2026 - 2030 period, the province is implementing 14 social housing projects with a supply scale of more than 22,000 units.
To create conditions for workers and low-income people to access information about social housing, the Provincial People's Committee has issued a Handbook guiding people to access social housing in Khanh Hoa province.
This document specifically guides the process, procedures and conditions for registering to buy social housing.
In addition, the Department of Construction has coordinated with the Khanh Hoa Provincial Social Policy Bank Branch to provide information on preferential credit policies for social housing buyers.
Accordingly, people can borrow up to 80% of the house value according to current policies.
Regarding the proposal to develop rental housing in industrial parks, representatives of the Department of Construction said that the Provincial People's Committee has issued a plan, assigning the Management Board of Khanh Hoa Economic Zone and Industrial Park to identify suitable locations in industrial parks.
On that basis, project investors will be required to develop rental housing development plans to meet the housing needs of workers during their working time in the industrial park.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ha - Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee - said that many social housing projects in the area are being accelerated by investors, and departments and branches are also actively coordinating to remove difficulties to put projects into use soon.
According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ha, the need for stable housing is a legitimate desire of union members and workers.

Currently, Khanh Hoa province is implementing 14 social housing projects with an average price of about 22 million VND/m2.
Along with that, social housing buyers can access loans up to 80% of the house value with preferential interest rates of about 5.4%/year according to current policies.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ha added that the mechanism for developing social housing is becoming increasingly open.
When the current 14 projects are completed and put into operation, the supply of social housing in the area will increase significantly, creating more opportunities for low-income people to access housing.
Leaders of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee also affirmed that the quality of social housing projects will be guaranteed, equivalent, even with better standards compared to some commercial housing projects.
