In the exciting atmosphere of Workers' Month, on May 12, Hanoi Urban Environment One Member Limited Liability Company (Urenco) organized the Inauguration and Putting into Use of the Workers' Guesthouse project in the Lam Du car team area, Bo De ward, Hanoi City.
This is a practical project to improve resting conditions and restore health for direct workers working in the field of environmental sanitation and maintaining urban infrastructure.
Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Hanoi Labor Federation, local leaders, Party Committee, Company Board of Directors and a large number of officials, union members, and employees of Hanoi Urban Environment One Member Limited Liability Company.
Currently, Urenco has nearly 5,000 employees, of which more than 4,100 workers directly work outdoors in shifts, in harsh weather conditions and high labor intensity. The specific nature of the environmental labor force is to work outdoors, in shifts, in harsh weather conditions and high labor intensity. Therefore, the need for space for rest and health recovery during mid-shift is extremely necessary.
Starting from that reality, the Company's Trade Union has proactively advised the Party Committee, coordinated with the Company's Board of Directors to develop an investment project for Workers' Guesthouses to improve working conditions and better care for workers' lives. The completion and commissioning of the project not only shows the deep concern of the Party Committee and the Company's Board of Directors for workers, but also affirms the companion role of the Trade Union organization in caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
The worker guesthouse has a scale of 2 floors, a usable area of 100.55m2, including 8 rooms with full essential equipment, meeting the accommodation needs of 48 workers, arranged separately for men and women, ensuring living conditions, hygiene and labor safety.
The Trade Union of Hanoi Urban Environment One Member Limited Liability Company said that in the coming time, it will continue to coordinate with professional departments to deploy the construction of more Workers' Guesthouses at Cau Dien Branch, along with many practical activities to improve the material and spiritual life of union members and workers.
