On the morning of May 4, at April 2 Square (Nha Trang ward), the Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation organized the May Flag salute ceremony, celebrating the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day.

Attending the ceremony were leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province, representatives of departments, agencies, and about 600 union members and workers.
The flag salute ceremony took place solemnly, not only as a ritual but also as an opportunity to review the tradition of struggle for the rights of the working class, towards the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026) and to celebrate important political events of the country and the Trade Union organization.

At the ceremony, Mr. Phan Thanh Liem - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation - recalled the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day, originating from the Chicago (USA) workers' struggle demanding an 8-hour working day.
Thereby, affirming the sustainable value of the spirit of solidarity, struggle for progress and social justice. In Vietnam, this spirit was soon spread by President Ho Chi Minh, becoming an important driving force to promote the development of the workers' and revolutionary movements.

Over nearly a century, the Vietnamese working class has continuously grown stronger, making positive contributions to the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland.
In Khanh Hoa, the Trade Union organization is increasingly affirming its role as a representative, caring for, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers through many practical programs such as: "Tet Reunion", "Workers' Month", "Trade Union Home", "Trade Union Member Welfare"...

Currently, the whole province has 91,811 union members out of a total of 113,811 workers, operating in 926 grassroots trade unions.
Through the activities of Workers' Month, trade union levels continue to consolidate trust and strengthen the connection between union members and workers with the organization.

In 2026, Workers' Month is implemented with the theme "Innovation and innovation, improving labor productivity".
The goal of the program is to promote the pioneering role of workers in labor and production, contributing to the implementation of socio-economic development goals of the locality.

Over the past time, trade union levels in the province have focused on promoting legal propaganda and taking care of union members' lives.
In addition, trade union levels in the province also organized gratitude activities to support workers in difficult circumstances, and at the same time launched emulation movements for good labor and creative labor throughout the province.
