An Hai Ward People's Committee has just issued Decision No. 377/QD-UBND (February 26, 2026) on promulgating the Regulation on considering and awarding the title "Outstanding An Hai Citizen".

The title "An Hai Typical Citizen" is a form of honoring and rewarding individuals with outstanding achievements in the fields of: labor production, business; state management; Party and mass organization work; national defense and security; science and technology; environment; culture, education, sports; social work, charity, community development...
Individuals considered for award must have particularly outstanding achievements, have a spreading power, have a positive impact on the community; have made important contributions to the development of the locality; be trusted by the people and colleagues, and at the same time well comply with the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State.
The regulations also clearly stipulate that the selection must ensure democracy, publicity, fairness, and the participation of the awarding council. Each year, this title is awarded to no more than 10 typical individuals.
Regarding the process, agencies, units, and residential groups propose typical individuals; dossiers are appraised and publicly consulted with the people before being submitted to the selection council. The deadline for receiving dossiers is before October 31st every year.
Individuals who are recognized with the title will be issued certificates, title cups and a bonus of 2 million VND; and will also be commended at the closing ceremony of the ward's emulation and commendation movement.
An Hai Ward People's Committee assigned the Department of Culture and Social Affairs to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to implement the regulations; and at the same time monitor and propose adjustments when necessary during the application process.
