The appearance of the 10-lane road in Dong Nai connecting Ho Chi Minh City is about to open to traffic

HÀ ANH CHIẾN |

Dong Nai - Road 25B (Ton Duc Thang road) from National Highway 51 to the center of Nhon Trach commune is about to be opened to traffic with 10 lanes.

This road is being urgently completed with the goal of opening to traffic in June 2026, making people's travel more convenient.

Road 25B is currently under construction for 2 projects.

In which, the Project to Upgrade and Expand Provincial Road 25B (section from the center of Nhon Trach commune to National Highway 51) with a length of more than 9 km, total investment of nearly 1,500 billion VND started in December 2024.

The 25B road project section from the center of Nhon Trach commune to Quach Thi Trang road is also being urgently completed. This project has a route length of 3.8 km with a total investment of nearly 640 billion VND. According to reporters' records, the overpass construction item on this section is being urgently implemented.

Previously, Component Project 3, Ring Road 3 HCMC (about 11.26 km long) connecting to road 25B and Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway Project have technically opened to traffic, helping many vehicles choose this route to travel between Dong Nai and HCMC.

Parallel to road 25B, road 25C is also being implemented with the Road 25C Construction Project (from National Highway 51 to Huong Lo 19) with a length of 2.65 km, total investment of more than 647 billion VND.

Previously, Mr. Nguyen Van Ut - Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee inspected the ground of the 25B road upgrade project, the 25C road construction project and requested the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board to direct contractors to mobilize sufficient manpower, machinery, and materials, and promote overtime and increase construction shifts "3 shifts, 4 shifts".

At the same time, there are solutions to transfer the construction volume of contractors who are behind schedule and supplement subcontractors to accelerate the construction progress, striving to technically open traffic in June 2026.

According to the plan, provincial roads 25B and 25C will connect Long Thanh airport, the starting point of National Highway 51, to the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway, Ring Road 3 of Ho Chi Minh City to connect Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City, reducing the load on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway.
